Who We Are
Together We Care (TWC ) is a student-led group of activists and allies for the call for justice of Black Americans and people around the world. We are members of the Fountain Hills community who wish to extend a hand of solidarity and support to our siblings of all backgrounds.
On June 25th we held an organized march that called for anyone in Fountain Hills to come out and join us to march and make their voices heard peacefully. There is a false narrative being painted on various news/media outlets on what these protests/marches entail. We want to draw a line between the looters/rioters and us. We are not looking for destruction, but merely for our voices and message to be heard.
Since our initial march was held, we have continued to address racism within the Fountain Hills community and across the world. Each week, we send out our newsletter on Tuesdays. Contents include TWC announcements, recent news in Arizona and across the world, in addition to educational resources and Black-owned businesses to support. "Talks with Together We Care: Fountain Hills", our newly-launched podcast, aims to create a platform where social justice, education, and radical love and change can unite as one.

Our Mission
The mission is within the name of our organization - together, we care. Our goal is to have our community come together during these tremulous times in order to seek justice for those who have not been extended this privilege at birth. TWC rejects using societal privilege to advance only oneself, the inhumane treatment of Black Americans by law enforcement, and the silencing of the new generation. We recognize our own privilege and will use it so that we can effectively care for one another and help uplift the Black community. Yes, all lives matter, but that cannot be true until Black lives are equally protected and represented in and by local, state, and national governments.
TWC came to be on the basis of wanting the Black community of Fountain Hills, and those around the country, to know that they are seen, supported, and valued the same way any other is. Every voice in our community deserves to be heard and we aim to uplift those that have historically been silenced.

Our Founders
When TWC first planned our march, 9 women came together to form our group with the mission to uplift historically silenced voices in our own community and across the world. Now, having organized a march, created a podcast, and continuing our amplification of Black voices, we have been able to educate our community, in addition to those outside of Fountain Hills. Without each of our founders, named below, Together We Care would not be where we are today.
